PIG'S FEET and OXTAIL RAMEN

I went to Asahi Grill with my friend the past Monday.
We got hungry after school so we kinda wanted to pig out!
We decided going to Asahi Grill because the portion of food they serve is huge lol

At the restaurant,
we wanted to taste not only one meal but also others so
decided to share meals.

We had Pig's feet soup and Oxtail Ramen.

Pig's feet meal is for only Monday!
They have different special meal every day.

That Oxtail Ramen was so ono with smashed ginger aside!

I am not sure if they are Okinawan restaurant because looks like it is more local style.
However, their food is very similar to Okinawan food such as Pig's feet soup!
We call it Tebichi in Okinawan language.

That taste of Pig's feet made me wanna go back to Okinawa!
I am so looking forward to have some real Okinawan food
when I go back to OKinawa for winter vacation!!

OKINAWA SOBA and IKA TEISHOKU

I couldn't get to eat any Okinawan food this past weeeek :(

So I will post what I'm craving the most now.

This is Ika (Squid) Teishoku (Meal) from a restaurant in Okinawa.

Soba (Noodles) places usually serve only Soba or Meal without Soba,
but this Soba place serves every meal with Okinawa Soba.

I love eating at this place because I don't have to choose Soba or meal lol
Of course the amount of food is too much so I always take the half back home!

And this place is located near by my place in Okinawa.
I often go eat there by foots with my parents :)

My mom was having the same meal :D

TACO RICE and SHIRI SHIRI

I recently seem going out for dinner too much
so tried staying at home and cooked Okinawan food twice this week instead of eating out.

First I made Taco Rice

Taco Rice is very similar to Tacos.
It uses rice instead of tortilla.

You can eat it at Okinawa festival,
an annual event held at Kapiolani Park every summer.

This is from Okinawan festival last year.
Andagi (Okinawan Doughnut), Tebichi (Pig's Feet Soup) and Taco Rice.

The Taco Rice looks more Americanized with that colorful things though lol

The other Okinawan food I cooked the past week is Ninjin Shiri Shiri.

Ninjin (Carrot) Shiri Shiri is carrot stir fried with egg.

I am not sure why we call this Shiri Shiri but I think
it is a sound effect of shaving a carrot on process.

I love Shiri Shiri so much
It is very easy to cook and yummy!!
There is no way to fail cooking this!

NABERA CHANPURU @UTAGE RESTAURANT

One of my friends loves eating Okinawan food and she has asked me to take her to my favorite Okinawan restaurant in Hawaii so I took her to Utage restaurant in Dillingham yesterday.

It was actually second time we tried going there.
The last time we tried eating there was holiday so they were closed at that time.
We finally made eating there together!

I ordered Nabera Chanpuru,
and my friend orderd Okinawa Soba (Noodles).

Nabera (squash) and Chanpuru (stir fry) are Okinawan languages.

It was so ono as always!
Soup or salad, beverage and dessert come with the meal
so you will get full if you go eat there for sure!

Had Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert.
I was full when it was served but I finished it up of course!

Okinawan food always makes me pig out :P

They have more awesome food!
Check it out at Utage restaurant & Lounge!!
